1. A series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
2. A daydream; a reverie.
3. A state of abstraction; a trance.
4. A wild fancy or hope.
5. A condition or achievement that is longed for; an aspiration
There is something intriguing about the above definitions. For most only the first four apply, but there are those for whom number five is the only one that holds any real significance.
How powerful is a dream? Well, for some it is the most potent thing imaginable. While others seek security, they long for freedom. They are willing to forsake economic stability in pursuit of that all consuming, ever present aspiration.
So I repeat: How powerful is a dream? Very. Does it stay powerful? Well, that’s for you to decide.
